We examine the intracavity pulse dynamics within dispersion-managed mode-locked fiber lasers, and show numerically that for a relatively big selection of parameters, pulse compression dynamics from the passive anomalous fiber may be accompanied by a substantial enhancement on the spectral width by a factor close to three.Cobalt doped ZnSe and ZnS c
